Comparison2026-09-11

The short version

The Coinbase card spends your Coinbase balance. Fundly spends crypto you send from any wallet and adds an EUR IBAN account.

As of September 2026. Competitor details change, so check their current pricing page and availability list before deciding.

Funding

The Coinbase card is linked to your Coinbase account. You spend from the assets held there, and Coinbase converts at the point of sale. It is a clean experience if you already keep funds on Coinbase.

Fundly is not tied to any exchange. You send USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, BTC and more from your own wallet on 10+ chains. Deposits are converted to EUR or USD at a rate shown before you send, so there is no conversion surprise at the checkout. Fundly is not an exchange and not a bank.

Availability

Coinbase card availability has varied by country and over time. Check their site for your region. Fundly is built for people the neobanks and big exchanges often leave waiting: freelancers, nomads and residents of countries with slow or closed banking. Our own supported list is published before launch.

Fees

Fundly has one schedule for everyone. Free: 0 EUR a month, 1% deposit fee (min 1 EUR), 1.5% FX. Plus: 7.99 EUR a month, 0.5% deposit, 0.5% FX. Premium: 19.99 EUR a month, 0% deposit, 0% FX. Rate and fee shown before every deposit and payment. No hidden spread. For the Coinbase card, check their current pricing page for conversion and FX costs in your region.

Rewards

Coinbase has offered rotating crypto rewards on card spend at various times. Check what is current. Fundly's cashback is a capped launch offer: 0.5% for 90 days on Free, 1% in USDC on Plus, 1.5% in USDC on Premium. We would rather be clear than generous on paper.

Accounts

After verification Fundly gives you an EUR IBAN with SEPA and SEPA Instant. You can be paid by clients or employers and pay rent from the same balance that your card draws on. Whether an exchange offers local account details depends on your region; check their site.

Getting started

Fundly issues an Instant virtual card with email and phone only, with monthly limits set by our issuing partner. Verify later for higher limits, a physical card and the IBAN. Exchange cards generally need a fully verified exchange account first.

Who should pick which

If your crypto already lives on Coinbase and it is available in your country, their card is convenient. If you self-custody, get paid on-chain, or need an IBAN, look at Fundly cards and pricing.
