Deposit on Ethereum

How to deposit ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI and EURC on Ethereum mainnet, with confirmations, fees and common mistakes.

Ethereum is the largest smart contract network and the home of most stablecoins. It is the safest choice when an exchange only offers "ERC20" withdrawals, but network fees are higher than on layer 2 chains.

Assets you can deposit

At launch Fundly accepts ETH and the ERC-20 tokens USDT, USDC, DAI and EURC on Ethereum mainnet. Other tokens sent to your address are not credited.

How to deposit

  1. Sign in to the Fundly web app at app.fundly.xyz and choose Deposit.
  2. Choose Ethereum as the chain and pick the asset.
  3. Copy your address or scan the QR code. Your Ethereum address starts with 0x and has 40 hexadecimal characters after it.
  4. In your wallet or exchange, choose the Ethereum network. Exchanges often label it "ERC20" or "Ethereum (ERC20)".
  5. Paste the address, enter the amount and send.
  6. Wait for 12 confirmations. The deposit shows as pending in the app as soon as it is seen on chain.
Note
Instant card users can deposit on Ethereum, but Instant cards have monthly load limits set by our partner and regulators.

Confirmations and timing

AssetMinimum at launchCredited afterTypical time
ETH20 EUR equivalent12 confirmationsabout 3 minutes
USDT, USDC, DAI, EURC20 EUR equivalent12 confirmationsabout 3 minutes

Ethereum produces a block roughly every 12 seconds, so 12 confirmations take about 3 minutes. The minimum on Ethereum mainnet is higher than on other chains because gas is more expensive.

Fees

Gas is paid in ETH by the sender. A stablecoin transfer can cost a few dollars during busy periods, so check the fee in your wallet before sending. Fundly's deposit fee at launch depends on your plan: Free 1% (minimum 1 EUR), Plus 0.5%, Premium 0%. The rate and fee are shown in the app before every deposit.

Common mistakes

Warning
Your 0x address is the same on Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain and other EVM chains. Picking the wrong network at an exchange sends funds to that chain instead.
  • Choosing an L2 network by accident. If the chain is supported by Fundly, support can usually recover the funds for a fee. If it is not supported, recovery is usually not possible.
  • Sending a token that is not on the list, such as a wrapped or exotic token.
  • Sending less than the 20 EUR minimum. The deposit is not credited automatically.
  • Setting a very low gas fee. The transaction can stay pending for a long time. Speed it up from your wallet if it supports that.

Fundly is a financial technology company, not a bank. Limits and fees described as “at launch” are proposals and may change.
